efa innovates with pressfit technology

efa France is taking a new strategic step in its industrial development: integrating the design and manufacture of pressfit electronic boards in-house. This expertise paves the way for high-performance applications, while strengthening efa’s technological independence in the service of its customers.

Pressfit, a solderless technology

Pressfit enables component pins to be inserted into PCBs without soldering, using controlled mechanical pressure. The result is excellent electrical conduction, particularly for high currents, and enhanced reliability in demanding environments.

To make this breakthrough a reality, efa has joined forces with the specialist MTConnectivity, a European reference in the field of industrial connectors.

Our very own Controls BU Manager, Théo Dondel, discussed the future of industrial vehicles, in Cologne in June 2024.

His presentation focused on autonomy, automation and remote control technologies, explaining basics, evolutions, state of development, key features and benefits. It explored the role of autonomy – how autonomy is transforming off-road machinery, increasing operational efficiency, productivity and safety; automation’s influence – from components to optimized system, how automation enhances precision, reliability and operational flexibility; the advancements of remote controls and their benefits in hazardous or inaccessible environments, enabling comfort, safety and efficiency; EFA case studies and success stories; future trends and opportunities – emerging trends, future developments and potential off-road applications; and the challenges of bringing advanced technologies to the market – integrating new technologies into off-road machines.

efa France announces new strategic partnership with Anderson Power

On September 1st, 2023, efa announced a strategic partnership with Anderson Power, in order to provide power connectivity Design solutions to the off-road mobile machinery market in France.

efa will bring to this partnership its market savviness and its expertise as a designer, integrator and distributor of powertrain solutions. This collaboration tends to favour converting original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to electric vehicles by providing them with a simple ‘wheel-to-plug’ solution for their vehicles.
