LiDAR is the acronym for Light Detection And Ranging, which could be translated by the detection of distance by light. We are talking about a technology based on calculating the flight time of a laser light between its emission and its return to the sensor. Unlike the radar we saw last week the Lidar detects objects only on a 2D surface. Indeed, the laser is sent very quickly, using a mirror, on a circle around it and at an angle of 270\u00b0.<\/p>\n<p>As we have seen, the Lidar is more and more used. This is due to its cost which has fallen sharply and especially to its high precision which corresponds more and more to the applications currently in place.<\/p>\n<p>Lidar technology can detect objects up to 200m. This is why it is increasingly used in the automobile and on vehicles that run at high speed. Indeed, this remote detection makes it possible to better anticipate the dangers and to set up avoidance processes. You find lidars on the famous Tesla for guiding and anticollision.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Lidar&#8217;s wide detection field, 270 \u00b0, limits the number of sensors and therefore reduces the cost of the complete solution.<\/p>\n<p>At Efa, we use Lidars on autonomous vehicles, to have a high accuracy of detection and thus guidance. They could also be used to make anti-collision &#8220;classic&#8221; but have the defect of being more fragile than the radar which answers most of the time to the need of the users. In addition, the Lidar does not like dust, rain, fog and snow. Indeed, it is so precise that it will detect these elements and take them for obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend our customers to use the Lidar only in good weather conditions or indoors. The Lidar will be the most accurate, fast and efficient technology you can find for anti-collision or vehicle guidance. Nous parlons donc d\u2019une technologie bas\u00e9e sur le calcul du temps de vol d\u2019une <strong>lumi\u00e8re laser<\/strong> entre son \u00e9mission et son retour vers le capteur.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Contrairement au <a href=\"https:\/\/efa-controls.com\/2019\/03\/19\/la-technologie-radar-pour-lanticollision\/\">radar<\/a> que nous avons vu la semaine derni\u00e8re le Lidar d\u00e9tecte les objets uniquement sur une surface en 2D. En effet, le laser est envoy\u00e9 tr\u00e8s rapidement, \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un miroir,\u00a0sur un cercle autour de lui et sur un angle de 270\u00b0.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":0,\"335559740\":240}\">\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=\"10\"][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Comme nous venons de le voir le Lidar est de plus en plus utilis\u00e9. Ceci est d\u00fb \u00e0 son co\u00fbt qui\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00e0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0fortement baiss\u00e9 et surtout \u00e0 sa grande pr\u00e9cision qui correspond de plus en plus aux applications mises\u00a0en place actuellement.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":0,\"335559740\":240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La technologie Lidar permet de d\u00e9tecter des objets jusqu\u2019\u00e0 200m. C\u2019est pourquoi elle est de plus en plus utilis\u00e9e\u00a0dans l\u2019automobile et sur les v\u00e9hicules qui roulent \u00e0 grande vitesse. En effet, cette d\u00e9tection lointaine permet de\u00a0mieux\u00a0anticiper les dangers et de mettre en place des processus\u00a0 d\u2019\u00e9vitement.\u00a0Vous retrouvez des lidars sur les fameuses Tesla pour le guidage et l\u2019anticollision.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":0,\"335559740\":240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">De plus,\u00a0le large champ de d\u00e9tection du Lidar, 270\u00b0, permet de limiter le nombre de capteur et r\u00e9duit donc le co\u00fbt de la solution compl\u00e8te.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":0,\"335559740\":240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Chez Efa, nous utilisons des Lidars sur des v\u00e9hicules autonomes, pour avoir une grande pr\u00e9cision de d\u00e9tection et donc de guidage. Ils pourraient \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour faire de l\u2019anticollision \u00ab\u202fclassique\u202f\u00bb mais ont le d\u00e9faut d\u2019\u00eatre plus fragiles\u00a0que le radar qui r\u00e9pond la plupart du temps au besoin des utilisateurs. De plus, le Lidar n\u2019aime pas trop la poussi\u00e8re, la pluie, le brouillard et la neige. En effet, il est tellement pr\u00e9cis qu\u2019il va d\u00e9tecter ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments et les prendre pour des obstacles.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":0,\"335559740\":240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nous pr\u00e9conisons \u00e0 nos clients d\u2019utiliser le Lidar uniquement dans de bonnes conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques ou en int\u00e9rieur. Le Lidar sera alors la technologie la plus pr\u00e9cise, rapide et performante que vous pourrez trouver pour faire de l\u2019anticollision ou du guidage de v\u00e9hicules.
