The HVIL (High Voltage Interlock Loop) function is a system designed to protect anyone likely to come into contact with the high-voltage components of an electric vehicle at any stage in its life cycle.<\/p>\n
How it works: This function acts as a kind of circuit breaker that sends out an alert if a high-voltage connection becomes disconnected or damaged. The HVIL uses a continuous low-voltage loop that monitors all the vehicle’s high-voltage connectors and components. If the low-voltage HVIL signal is interrupted for any reason, it indicates that there is a problem with the high-voltage system.<\/p>\n
