Lithium is the lightest known metal and the least dense solid element with the best electrochemical potential, which offers excellent energy performance and weight control and is therefore used in the manufacture of lithium batteries.
Its very high electrochemical potential (its ability to transfer electrons) makes it a powerful component of lithium batteries.

Chemistry: safety is one of the strong points of Flash Battery batteries. Flash Battery uses the safest and most stable chemical formula available on the market, LFP (LiFePO4). It has a very long lifespan: more than 4,000 charge cycles and it is available in large capacity formats (100-200-300 ah), for the industrial systems market.

Assembly: is also essential to ensure the intrinsic safety of the battery, in particular the number of cells in parallel within the battery is the key element. Flash Battery chose to use the prismatic lithium cells because they are more resistant, safe and suitable for medium / large batteries.

The balancing system: how is Flash Battery technology different?

Lithium Flash Battery technology means that the cells have different capacities, resistances and self-discharges. This means that when one cell is 100%, another could be 95%. This difference may seem slight, but it can become more and more significant with each cycle and reduce the general level of battery and vehicle autonomy. To avoid this loss of efficiency, the Flash Battery electronics succeeds in standardizing the level of each cell, during charging and discharging.

In a traditional Lithium battery, the control electronics called Battery Management System uses passive low-power systems to carry out balancing, this phase takes 8 to 10 hours without counting the time necessary to replenish the energy, which can vary by battery charger, but can usually be estimated at 3 hours.

The full charge of these traditional batteries can take up to 13 hours and when the balancing is interrupted due to the need for use or intensive use, the gap between the most charged and discharged cells increases, gradually reducing the energy available: vehicles and machines lose a little of their autonomy with each cycle.

The FLASH BALANCING SYSTEM integrated in the Flash Battery acts in active and passive with a much higher balancing power (20A) and not only during charging, but also in active mode during discharge.

This allows balancing 20 times faster, maximum 30 minutes in cyclic applications, which makes it insignificant on the overall charging time.

Remote monitoring

Flash Battery batteries technology has a remote monitoring system, the Flash Data Center, which informs each day of any malfunctions and allows you to know the status of each lithium battery at all times.

The most important feature of the Flash Data Center is automatic data monitoring: software fully developed by Flash Battery verifies and analyzes daily the data received on battery operation and sends any warnings, anomalies or abuse.

All of this helps to eliminate false alarms in the bud and prevent malfunctions before the user even knows it.
