efa, a specialist in power distribution and the manufacture of bespoke PDUs, can design and manufacture its own press-fit circuit boards.
This technology, commonly used to insert connector pins into printed circuit boards (PCBs), improves electrical conductivity for high currents without the need to solder all components. The board can be produced entirely using press-fit technology, or it can combine soldered components with press-fit ones.

Why choose press-fit rather than welding?
The press-fit principle is based on the use of mechanical pressure to insert a pin into a hole slightly smaller than the diameter of the connector to be inserted on the PCB. The force of friction holds the part in place and guarantees the strength of the assembly.
