Telematics
The efa telematics solution enables you to transform your machines into connected devices and centralise all relevant data.
Our telematics solution for mobile machinery allows you to monitor and analyse your machines’ data in real time. Thanks to connected devices installed on the machinery and an intuitive monitoring platform, you can access key information on the usage, location and condition of your fleet.
Would you like to:
- Optimise your fleet management costs?
- Minimise unplanned downtime and pinpoint the location of your machinery?
- Know how many hours they are actually in operation? Which ones are under-utilised?
- Carry out maintenance on your machinery at the right time and in a seamless manner?

The efa solution for telematics

Each machine is fitted with a telematics unit connected to the machine’s sensors. This unit collects various data, such as GPS location, operating hours, fuel consumption and technical information.
This data is then automatically transmitted via a mobile network to a secure platform, which can be accessed from a computer, tablet or smartphone.
This allows you to view your fleet’s activity in real time, analyse machine usage and receive alerts in the event of specific incidents, such as the detection of a person in a danger zone.
- CAN connection: Direct communication with your existing detection cameras. No connection to the machine’s CAN bus.
- 5G transmission: Instant transmission of alerts to a data server.
- IP69K certification: Designed for immersion and high-pressure cleaning.
Features designed for fleet management

Our solution is based on a telematics unit installed on each machine. This unit collects operational data and automatically transmits it to our secure platform.
The information reported includes:
- GPS location
- Engine hours
- Machine usage
- Fuel consumption
- Technical alerts
All this data is accessible in real time via a web or mobile dashboard, enabling fleet managers to monitor their equipment remotely.
On your machines, the efa module ensures complete data stability, even under the most severe vibration conditions.
- Temperature: -40°C to +85°C
- Shocks: 6-axis sensor to filter out false positives.
- Power supply: Vehicle power supply + Internal NiMH battery
efa’s expertise
At efa, we combine telematics with smart pedestrian detection cameras fitted to machinery. These smart cameras (2DKIT) are capable of identifying, in real time, the presence of a person in a hazard zone or in a blind spot around the machine. The operator is then immediately alerted by an audible alarm.
The real added value of our solution lies in the telematics integration.
Every detection event is automatically recorded and transmitted along with precise information:
- Date and time of the event
- GPS position of the machine
- Type of alert or detection
- Incident history
This data can then be analysed to gain a better understanding of the hazardous situations encountered in the field.

By analysing telematics data, you can:
- Identify recurring risk areas on construction sites
- Analyse near-miss incidents
- Improve safety procedures
- Raise awareness among operators and site teams
- Implement targeted corrective measures
Telematics thus transforms every alert into a source of information to prevent future accidents.
